I recently archived my grandfather’s entire slide film collection, spanning nearly 50 years of life. The joy I experienced seeing members of my family at different times of their life was remarkable. And I was reminded how important it is to have photographs of moments in each of our lives to look back to.

Behind the camera, I work with an empathetic eye to see the subjects, the instant, the gestures that resonate. The photograph doesn’t show the time he spent to understand what you want. That, the most important part, is what is felt. Good photographs don’t just happen, they are made and require effort.
